Message from Principal
Principal, Sr. Angelor Taylor
Our activities during this school year have been many and varied with those on the academic side being the most important. 2009 sees our first Grade 10 class to come through the Reform programme. This necessitated adjustments in such important areas as subject content, timetabling and the introduction of Agriculture as another option for the students. Some extra curricular highlights which permeated a spirit of unity, pride and joy throughout the school were our achievements in sports and especially the SRC fundraiser. The girls opted for a big change when they decided to stage the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Again I would like to congratulate them on a wonderful effort. You can see for yourself how wonderful they were as you progress through this magazine. Our building activity is never ending! A major renovation is being carried out on the Expressive Arts building. The classrooms are now at ground level and 3 x 2 bedroom flats are above them. The complete upgrade of the basketball courts may have to wait until next year. With the introduction of SLIP by the Department of Education we hope that next year will see students, staff and parents working in partnership to build a stronger school faith community based on Gospel values. This partnership should help enormously to foster the growth of each student if we all play our part. Finally congratulations to the Magazine committee. It has taken a few years but finally they have succeeded in producing a magazine we are all proud of.
